FEATURES OF HIGH QUALITY F-81 SPLICE ADAPTERS

RIDGED END CAPS vs MACHINED END CAPS

The flat port ends on each side of the F-81 splice adapter improves moisture ingress protection, provide an excellent grounding plane for the coaxial cable's exterior braiding. This maximumizes rejection of the hum/static from RF & EMI exterior interferences.

CAST THREADS vs MACHINED THREADS

The low end splice adapters are case from casted zinc. This low cost material retaines the form of the die on both sides of the product. High end F-81 adapters are cast in BRASS and are plated in nickel, the manufacturing prrocess included machining the products treads. This process provides for a long term trouble free high end spec product.

PINCH STYLE CENTER PIN SEIZING vs
360° CENTER CONDUCTOR PIN SEIZING

360° center pin seizing

The RF range frequencies use the surface areas of the conductor to propagate. The method of seizing the center pin of any connecting device is extremely important to the overall qualitity of the device. Low cost or spec'd adapters use a simple two point of "pinch" contact with rolled edges to seize the center pin. Higher end seizing is accomplished with a 4 point split 360° crimp made of beryllium copper (CuBe), this material retains its spring strenght & conductivity after many pin isertions. It also provided excellent pin, or center conductor surface seizing.

Entertainment providers i.e: AT&T, Comcast, Time Warner, DirecTV, & Dish Network require their supplies to manufacturer products to high technical standards. Since connectors, adapters, terminators are very similiar in their outward appearance, these providers require their APPROVED product vendors to mark their products with an embossed non-removable stamp somewhere visable on the product. These stamps typically are the initials of the company that has manufacturer the product.
